HYDRAULIC MANUALLY FED CORN CUTTER

SELF-CONTAINED UNIT FOR MANUAL FEEDING AND CUTTING EARS

The CCM Manually Fed Corn Cutter (MFCC) gives you on-line compatibility without major structural changes to your present system.  The MFCC will accommodate either your belt or oscillating system.  Sturdy and compact in design, the MFCC requires minimal floor space and low maintenance costs.  Made of high quality stainless steel and food grade plastics, this system is also easy to clean.  The unique feed system gives you a premium quality of cut ears.  Compact, simplistic and reliable - CCM the cutting edge.

FEATURES

  • The unique belt feeder system maintains alignment and gently handles ears, assuring a quality cut of the finished product.  The system can clear most of the occasional cutter head jams quickly.  The manual reverse operation of the belt feed "trough" system and the "nubbin knocker" sends the jammed ears to the recycle pan.
  • Designed with safety in mind, the cutter area is protected against attempts to open the cutter shield during operation.  A sensing device, incorporated into the unit, instantly shuts the system down if the cutter shield is opened.

BENEFITS

  • Increased plant efficiency
  • Adaptable to existing cutting capacity, requiring little or no modification to existing conveyors

GREEN CORN ELIMINATOR

AUTOMATICALLY SEPARATES UNHUSKED EARS OF CORN

The CCM Green Corn Eliminator/Unhusked Ear Remover automatically separates unhusked ears of corn for recycling.  Clean husked ears are fed to the whole kernel cutters, or the corn on cob selectors with a greatly reduced requirement for human inspection.

FEATURES

  • Five different models: 14-lane, 18-lane, 22-lane,
    28-lane, 32-lane
  • Accurately and efficiently sorts unhusked ears of corn based on processing specifications.
  • Fully compatible and designed for use with and Aligner Feeder, and or Nubbin Eliminators.
  • Electronic parts are enclosed in a water-tight compartment.
  • Easy to maintain and adjust to existing plant installations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Power requirements: 110 Volts AC 60 Cycle (US) or 220 Volts AC 50 cycle (Europe)
  • Requires a dry air supply of 50 to 100 PSI (344 to 689 kpa) with 0.8272 SCFM (0.0177 m3) @ 75 PSI (517 kpa)
  • Maximum operating temperature 140 F (60 C)

SEMI-AUTOMATIC COB SAW

PROVIDES ORIENTATION AND SAWING

The Semi-Automatic Cob Saw has been developed as a labor saving alternative to manual cob saw lines.  This exciting machines utilizes our Automatic Corn Orienter to provide singulation and orientation of ears.  Our "patent pending" transfer assembly and roller conveyor sections of the unit ensure accurate mechanical centering of corn ears for sawing, thus making the unit simple to operate.

The unit firstly meters the product in-feed to maintain an even throughput and eliminate product surges (the unit is fed by a vibratory feeder in the same way the CCM Automatic Corn Cutter is).  The ears are then singulated, orientated, and presented "tip first" to our unique transfer assembly which gently transfers them 90 degrees onto a tilted roller conveyor to be mechanically centered and rotated for manual inspection (for damage and quality parameters) before being sawed.

KEY POINTS:

  • Power requirements: 110 Volts AC 60 Cycle (US) or 220 Volts AC 50 cycle (Europe)
  • Requires a dry air supply of 50 to 100 PSI (344 to 689 kpa) with 0.8272 SCFM (0.0177 m3) @ 75 PSI (517 kpa)
  • Maximum operating temperature 140 F (60 C)
  • Installation on a flat surface recommended

FEATURES

  • High Capacity
  • Ease of Operation and Maintenance
  • Self Loading
  • Nubbin Removal
  • Inspection Area
  • Variety of Cut Sizes
  • Waste and Recycle Separation and Removal

AUTOMATIC KNIFE SHARPENER

AKS-7400

  1. Better Quality Cut: Ground as a set to "like new" condition all year.  A precise circular profile is achieved and can be aligned to provide a uniform clean cut and eliminate pulled kernels.
  2. Increased throughput: Correct knife contour allows ears to "slip" through the cutter head with minimal resistance.  This reduces the frequency of cutter head jams that are associated with ears of corn hesitating through the cutting head because of excessive friction.
  3. Elimination of off season reconditioning: Knives are also "like new" at the end of one pack ready for the next.
  4. Longer lasting cutting edges: Precise grind allows the operator to achieve more cutting time per grind or better quality in the same cutting period.
  5. Labor saving: Semi-automatic operation allows the operator to perform other duties while the knives are being sharpened.
  6. Improved yield: Results to date indicate that some customers have achieved a 2% yield increase with consistently sharp knives over the length of a season.
FEATURES
  • Precision- Exact knife radius and angle are locked in
  • Safety- Totally enclosed and guarded with computer interlock
  • Automatic- Hands-off operation during sharpening
  • Rugged Construction- All aluminum and stainless steel enclosure
  • Electrical Control- Computerized system design to precisely control sharpening in discrete increments
  • Functionality- The grind angle can be set at 8, 10 and 12 degrees to best suit your plant requirements
